The psychological scars borne by survivors are profound; many express fear about returning or continuing their education after such traumatic experiences. Thirteen-year-old escapee Stephen Samuel shared his uncertainty:
“Will we ever be able to go back? Which school will accept us now? Maybe our schooling days are finished.”
