Airbnb Launches Private Car Pick-Up Service Across 125+ Cities Globally
In a significant enhancement to its travel offerings, Airbnb has introduced a private car pick-up service now accessible in over 125 cities worldwide. This new feature is powered by a partnership wiht transportation specialist Welcome Pickups, allowing travelers to book private rides in diverse locations such as Sydney, Marrakech, and São Paulo.
Effortless Transfers from the Moment You Land
The pilot phase of this service took place earlier this year across multiple European and Asian cities, garnering extraordinary user satisfaction with an average rating of 4.97 out of 5 from thousands of passengers. Guests reserving accommodations in participating cities can easily arrange their private transfers through the Trips section within the Airbnb app. The platform also offers flexibility for users to update or cancel their ride details anytime before arrival.

Since launching its services category last summer-which features offerings like personal chefs, wellness treatments, professional photography sessions, and fitness coaching-Airbnb has steadily expanded these options across numerous countries.
Additionally, in late 2025, the company rolled out grocery delivery partnerships via Instacart integration for select U.S. markets, enabling guests to pre-order essentials conveniently for their stays.
Integrating Hotels into the Airbnb Ecosystem
apart from diversifying ancillary services, Airbnb is also exploring hotel bookings as part of its evolving platform strategy. During the Q4 earnings call for 2025, CEO Brian Chesky highlighted that adding hotels broadens appeal by accommodating various traveler needs-from quick urban getaways to extended vacations-positioning Airbnb as a comprehensive trip planning hub.
