“I found out yesterday that I will no longer be involved in managing Red Bull or its racing operations,” Horner revealed openly. “while I remain employed by the company for now, my leadership role is being handed over.”
“The news initially took me by surprise. After reflecting for about twelve hours, I felt compelled to stand before all of you and express my sincere thanks for your unwavering commitment throughout these past two decades.”
He recalled joining what was then a modest outfit with few experienced personnel but quickly feeling embraced by a group destined to become one of Formula 1’s most formidable forces. “Being part of this unbelievable journey has been one of my greatest honors,” he added.
A Legacy defined by Championships and historic Achievements
During Horner’s tenure, Red Bull enjoyed two dominant periods in Formula 1 history. The first era featured Sebastian vettel securing four consecutive drivers’ championships alongside four constructors’ titles between 2010 and 2013. More recently, Max Verstappen achieved four straight drivers’ championships from 2021 through 2024 while contributing to back-to-back constructors’ victories in 2022 and 2023.
