Nscale Teams Up with Microsoft to Revolutionize AI Infrastructure

Global Expansion of Nvidia AI GPUs Thru Strategic Partnership

Nscale, an emerging leader in AI hyperscaling, has finalized a notable collaboration with Microsoft to integrate advanced Nvidia AI GPUs into several data centers across Europe and the United States.

Massive GPU Rollout Across International Data Hubs

This partnership will see the deployment of nearly 200,000 Nvidia GB300 GPUs distributed among four critical data center locations. Nearly 104,000 of these units are slated for installation at a Texas facility leased by Ionic Digital within the next 12 to 18 months. Nscale plans to scale this site’s power capacity up to an remarkable 1.2 gigawatts.

Additionally, starting in early 2026, approximately 12,600 GPUs will be deployed at the Start Campus data center in Sines, Portugal. The remaining GPUs will be split between two other strategic sites: about 23,000 units will support operations at Nscale’s Loughton campus in England beginning in 2027; meanwhile roughly 52,000 GPUs are earmarked for Microsoft’s AI campus located in Narvik, Norway.

Collaborative Ventures and Financial Backing

The rollout is enabled through both fully owned Nscale facilities and a joint venture with Aker-a major investor fueling the company’s rapid growth. Since its launch earlier this year in 2024, Nscale has secured over $1.7 billion from prominent investors including Aker itself as well as Nokia and Nvidia.

A Commitment to Scalable and Eco-Friendly AI Infrastructure

Nscale’s founder highlights that their swift expansion reflects not only technical prowess but also dedication toward sustainability and operational excellence. “Delivering GPU infrastructure on such a vast scale establishes new standards for future AI platforms,” he remarked.

“Few organizations combine extensive experience with global reach necessary for projects of this magnitude; we have successfully achieved both,” he added.

The Rising Trend of Large-Scale GPU Agreements Driving Innovation

this advancement mirrors a broader industry trend where substantial chip procurement deals are accelerating advancements in artificial intelligence worldwide:

  • OpenAI recently secured six gigawatts of compute capacity from AMD under a multi-billion dollar agreement;
  • Nvidia pledged investments totaling up to $100 billion into OpenAI last year while supplying ten gigawatts worth of chips;
  • Major cloud service providers continue aggressively expanding their hardware infrastructure amid surging demand for generative AI applications.

Outlook on Future Expansion Opportunities

Nscale is reportedly exploring plans for an initial public offering by late next year as it continues scaling operations internationally. This strategic move would solidify its position within the competitive landscape shaping tomorrow’s digital infrastructure ecosystem globally.
