Man Rejects All Allegations in Liverpool Premier League Celebration Vehicle Case
A 53-year-old individual has officially denied every charge connected to a vehicle-related incident that occurred during Liverpool’s Premier League victory festivities, which caused numerous injuries among attendees.
Incident Overview adn Impact on Crowd
On the evening of May 26, just after 6 p.m.,a Ford Galaxy unexpectedly drove into crowds leaving the Liverpool waterfront following the team’s championship celebrations. This tragic event resulted in injuries to more than 130 people, spanning a wide age range from infants as young as six months old to seniors aged up to 77 years.
Legal Developments and Charges Filed
The suspect,Paul Doyle from Croxteth in Liverpool,was initially charged wiht seven offenses. Though, prosecutors recently expanded the case by adding an extra 24 charges. Currently, Doyle faces a total of 31 counts including dangerous driving and affray.
- 18 counts of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent
- 9 counts of causing grievous bodily harm with intent
- 2 counts of wounding with intent
Doyle appeared remotely via video link at Liverpool Crown Court where he pleaded not guilty to all allegations. He remains in custody while awaiting his trial set for November 24.
