Vaulted Deep utilizes an approach that reverses traditional fossil fuel extraction methods.It gathers organic waste streams-such as treated sewage sludge, excess agricultural manure, and paper manufacturing byproducts-that would otherwise be discarded or incinerated. These materials are transformed into a slurry and injected deep underground into porous rock formations using advanced hydraulic fracturing-inspired technology.

The company has already sequestered over 18,000 metric tons of CO2, showcasing scalable potential for industrial carbon capture solutions. Vaulted Deep was a finalist in the Xprize Carbon competition and recently raised $32 million in Series A funding led by Prelude Ventures.
