Nothing Opens Its First Retail Store in India, Ushering in a Bold New Era of Innovation!

Nothing Unveils Its First retail Store in India’s Leading Technology Center

Nothing, the forward-thinking hardware company supported by Tiger Global, has launched its inaugural brick-and-mortar outlet in India, marking a pivotal step in its largest market. This flagship store is located in Bengaluru, a city that represents a notable portion of Nothing’s Indian customer base and serves as the country’s technology hub.

An Immersive Space Highlighting Innovative Tech

The newly established two-story retail location invites visitors to explore Nothing’s product lineup and ongoing innovations firsthand. Customers can purchase the brand’s cutting-edge devices alongside exclusive merchandise while enjoying tailored customization options on select products.

“We aimed to create an engaging environment that reflects multiple dimensions of our brand,” said Carl Pei, co-founder and CEO of Nothing. “For instance, we incorporated design elements inspired by factory assembly lines where products come to life. We also showcase equipment used for rigorous testing such as USB port functionality checks and water resistance trials. Our intention was to bring the entire manufacturing process into an experiential space.”

Product Diversity Tailored for Diffrent Consumer Segments

The store features offerings from both Nothing and CMF-its affordable sub-brand introduced last year through collaboration with Indian ODM Optiemus. While nothing targets tech enthusiasts with premium gadgets priced at higher tiers, CMF delivers thoughtfully designed products at accessible prices without resorting to typical budget segment rebranding strategies.

Carl Pei emphasized this approach: “Nothing caters primarily to consumers seeking distinctive experiences at premium price points; CMF focuses on wider audiences but upholds quality standards rather than merely repackaging existing models.”

India: A Crucial Market Accelerating growth Trajectory

The Indian smartphone industry has warmly welcomed Nothing’s presence-in fact, recent IDC data reveals that the brand holds over 2% market share nationwide.Additionally, it achieved an impressive 85% year-over-year shipment growth during Q2 2025 alone, positioning it among the fastest-growing smartphone manufacturers within this fiercely competitive sector.

A Broader Movement Among Global Tech Brands in India

This expansion mirrors trends seen across global technology giants increasing their physical footprint throughout India. For exmaple, Apple is set to open its sixth retail store this month in Borivali-a Mumbai suburb-highlighting rising consumer demand for direct interaction with premium tech brands.

Extending Reach Beyond London Headquarters

The bengaluru outlet marks Nothing’s first physical presence outside its london headquarters since inception. The company has announced plans for additional stores slated for Tokyo and New York City; however, exact launch dates have yet to be revealed.

Robust Investment Supports Ambitious Expansion Plans

This growth is underpinned by strong investor confidence: last year alone saw Nothing raise $200 million through Series C funding rounds led by Tiger Global alongside notable investors including GV and Highland Europe-bringing total capital raised close to $450 million with a valuation surpassing $1 billion.
