EverPass Partners with ESPN+ to Revolutionize Live Sports Streaming in Commercial Spaces
EverPass Media has finalized a landmark multi-year deal with ESPN, the premier sports network under Disney, to deliver live sporting events and exclusive ESPN+ content directly to bars, restaurants, and other commercial venues throughout the United States.
Expanding Business Access to Premium Sports Streaming
This collaboration substantially enhances EverPass’s suite of live sports streaming options for businesses. Known for its exclusive digital distribution of NFL’s “Sunday Ticket” package-including games streamed solely on platforms like YouTube-EverPass is now set to diversify its offerings by incorporating a wide range of content from ESPN+.
The Shift Toward Digital-Exclusive Sports Broadcasting
As live sports continue drawing massive audiences across both traditional TV and streaming services, there is a clear trend toward digital-first viewing. Professional leagues are increasingly assigning media rights that restrict certain games exclusively to streaming platforms. For example,Amazon holds sole rights for “Thursday Night Football,” illustrating this ongoing transformation in how fans engage with sports.
“With numerous streaming services each hosting unique exclusive games, it can be challenging even at home for fans to know where to watch,” said Alex Kaplan, CEO of EverPass. “Streaming is undoubtedly the future but remains fragmented from a consumer standpoint. Our mission is simplifying access by consolidating this dispersed content.”
A pivotal Expansion Since EverPass’s Inception
The agreement with ESPN marks the most substantial growth in live game availability since EverPass was launched in 2023 as a joint venture between the NFL and RedBird Capital Partners. The company also benefits from investment by TKO Group Holdings-the parent company behind UFC and WWE-since last year.
Beginning October 2024, both existing clients and new commercial customers will gain standalone access to ESPN+ through EverPass’s platform.
A Wide Array of Sporting Events Now Accessible via ESPN+
This integration unlocks over 2,200 annual live events including college football and basketball seasons; NHL contests; international soccer tournaments such as UEFA competitions; PGA Tour Live golf coverage; plus numerous other major national sporting events.
The Role of ESPN+ within Modern Streaming Frameworks
This partnership specifically targets distribution of content from ESPN+, which operates independently from traditional linear television despite being part of Disney’s flagship app named “ESPN.” While individual consumers subscribe directly through tiers like “ESPN Select” at $11.99 per month or $119.99 annually,commercial venues will continue accessing it simply as “ESPN+” under this arrangement.
From DirecTV Dominance Toward Diverse Digital Providers
In its debut season (2023), EverPass emerged as an option provider catering exclusively to commercial establishments seeking NFL Sunday Ticket access after acquiring UPshow-a platform designed for seamless live sports streaming within venues-for an undisclosed amount that same year.
Prior to this shift, DirecTV held sole licensing rights distributing Sunday Ticket packages commercially while YouTube TV managed consumer subscriptions starting that season-signaling a critical move toward digital-first delivery models across audiences nationwide.
Diversifying Beyond NFL Content: A Growing Portfolio
- Peacock: Comcast’s Peacock offers select exclusive NFL matchups distributed commercially via EverPass;
- Prime Video: Amazon Prime Video streams various non-NFL sporting events accessible through EverPass;
- Paramount+: International soccer fixtures available on Paramount+ are also included within their expanding business catalog;
Catering To Major Restaurant Chains & Future Expansion Strategies
Karlan highlighted that leading chains such as Buffalo Wild Wings and Dave & buster’s currently utilize EverPass technology within their locations-and expressed ambitions toward further expansion including securing additional media rights or partnering with traditional pay-TV providers like Charter Communications (Spectrum).
“We’re actively pursuing collaborations both established and new,” Kaplan remarked about ongoing efforts aimed at enriching our content offerings while broadening distribution reach.”
The Emerging Era Of Commercial Sports Streaming Solutions
This strategic alliance between EverPass Media and ESPN exemplifies how rapidly changing viewer habits are transforming how live sports are delivered into public venues nationwide-shifting away from cable monopolies toward flexible digital ecosystems tailored specifically for businesses eager to engage passionate fanbases through premium real-time experiences.
