Elon Musk Faces Interview Hurdles and Ambiguities in Government Involvement

“You coudl see these ventures as attempts to positively shape civilization’s trajectory moving forward,” he said.

Musk’s Gradual Step Back From Government Roles

At that time, Musk revealed intentions to scale back his government involvement but planned to maintain part-time engagement. He told Pogue that DOGE would remain “a way of life” with some personal participation; still, his main focus would stay firmly fixed on growing his businesses.

Media Fallout and Political Speculation Following interview

pogue noted how clips emphasizing Musk’s critical comments regarding a Trump-backed budget bill quickly went viral across media platforms. Soon after this exposure, Musk announced he would end his role as a special government employee. Despite this announcement, former President Trump later implied that Musk had not fully severed ties with governmental affairs.
