This enterprising project, dubbed the “Industrial AI Cloud,” will feature more than 1,000 Nvidia DGX B200 systems paired with RTX Pro Servers housing up to 10,000 Blackwell GPUs. the facility is designed to provide advanced AI inference capabilities and tailored services for German companies while ensuring strict compliance with national data sovereignty laws.
Collaborative innovation and Practical Applications
Among the initial partners are Agile Robots, whose automated machinery will streamline server rack assembly processes, and Perplexity, which intends to leverage the data center for localized AI inference solutions aimed at German enterprises and consumers. Key industrial applications such as digital twins and physics-driven simulations are expected to benefit considerably from this infrastructure.
Infrastructure Backbone and Software Integration
Deutsche Telekom will supply the essential physical infrastructure supporting this initiative. Complementing this effort, SAP will contribute its Business Technology Platform along with enterprise software designed to optimize operational workflows within this collaborative ecosystem.

This collaboration takes place amid increasing momentum across Europe advocating for reduced reliance on foreign cloud providers in favor of homegrown technological advancements. The European Union has committed €200 billion toward establishing “AI gigafactories” focused primarily on large-scale industrial applications throughout member countries.
