Fatal Blast Strikes Military Train in Balochistan

A catastrophic explosion targeted a train carrying military personnel in Pakistan’s turbulent southwestern province of Balochistan, claiming the lives of at least 24 people, including soldiers. More than 50 others were injured in the attack.

The incident took place as the train was traversing the Chaman Pattak signal zone close to Quetta, the provincial capital. A vehicle laden with explosives collided with one of the train’s carriages, causing a powerful blast that derailed and set fire to two coaches.

The force of the explosion released thick black smoke into the sky and inflicted extensive damage on nearby buildings. Several vehicles parked along surrounding streets were either destroyed or severely damaged by debris propelled by the blast.
